Associated PressThursday was not the greatest day Billy Corgan's ever known.
According to Spinner, the Smashing Pumpkins singer, 43, passed out during a concert in Tampa Bay, Florida this past Thursday. The band was in the middle of performing its hit "Bullet With the Butterfly Wings" when Corgan lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
The star Tweeted his confirmation of the incident.
"For those who saw me fall last night during 'Bullet' that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness," Corgan wrote. "That was me blacking out and wiping out."
The band is set to resume its tour despite the mishap, according to a report by People. Its first scheduled stop after the Tampa incident is a show in Knoxville, Tennessee.
And, despite his fainting spell, Corgan is still ready to go for the rest of the tour. Although he's not one to minimize his injuries.
"I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet," he Tweeted, "but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow."
