'Modern Family,' 'Glee' among GLAAD Media Award nominees

The films The Kids Are All Right and Easy A, HBO's drama True Blood, Fox's Glee, ABC's Modern Family and NBC's 30 Rock are among the nominees for the 22nd annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards, reports USA TODAY's Cindy Clark.

The awards honor media for outstanding portrayals of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities and issues that they face. The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held on March 19 in New York, on April 16 in Los Angeles and on May 14 in San Francisco.
