Starkid Productions will present Starship: The Musical at the Hoover-Leppen Theater, February 11-23.
The show, which features music and lyric by Glee star Darren Criss, is written and directed by Matt Lang, alongside co-writers Nick Lang, Brian Holden, and Joe Walker. The show also features puppets by Russ Walko of Swazzle,
The musical is set in the distant future on a far off planet inhabited by a race of giant alien insects, and in particular, one named Bug, a starry-eyed dreamer, who longs for something bigger than what he has known.
The cast will feature Julia Albain, Jamie Lyn Beatty, Brian Holden, Nick Lang, Lauren Lopez, Joe Moses, Jim Povolo, Joey Richter, Dylan Saunders, Joe Walker, Brant Cox, Denise Donovan, and Meredith Stepien.
The company's previous stage work includes a theatrical version of its internet hit, A Very Potter Sequel, which followed one of its initial successes, the online A Very Postter Musical.
