Tribeca Film Festival's Drive-In Series Brings Stars Under the Stars!

03/12/2011,  Tyler Bennett

TFF

This year’s Tribeca Film Festival free events include the return of their fun-filled drive-in, a family street fair and even some sports thrown in for good measure! Each year, the Festival’s free events bring thousands of people downtown to enjoy much from the world of entertianment, while working in unison with local restaurants and schools. Partnerships with local merchants also bring people to lower Manhattan.

For the first time, NYFest, on April 23, will have NYC’s first film and entertainment soccer tournament (organized by Sony Pictures Classics’ Dylan Leiner), featuring a five-on-five game with film, music, entertainment and sports pros—all kicking off with a coin toss by soccer legend Pele.

The Tribeca drive-in will feature Fame, The Muppets Take Manhattan, and When the Drum Stops Beating.
